Carl D. Perkins Vocational Training Center

In addition to training required by the agency/Cabinet, all staff members at the Perkins Center receive on-going training that includes:

• Vocational Behavioral Enhancement (VBE).  VBE is the Center-wide program that assists students to model appropriate work-related behaviors.
• Emergency & Evacuation Procedures.
• Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Identification of Critical Incidents
• Medication Management.
• Reducing Physical Risks.
• Additional training programs on specific disabilities (e.g. autism), use of equipment, agency/Center procedural changes, or other issues of interest are presented throughout the year. 

The Perkins Center has the capabiity to digitally record training programs for future reference with the consent of the presenter(s).  This allows staff members who different shifts and days of the week to view the information.
