Cabinet Onboarding Training Initiative

In 2009 the Personnel Cabinet developed a program to assist new state employees aclimate to their surroundings.  Beginning January 2010 the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet will implement the "On-Boarding and Orientation for New Merit and Non-Merit Employees" as developed by the state Personnel Cabinet.

This program has been specifically designed to mentor new employees through the first year of employment and the intent is to assist with the retention of quality employees.

An email message from the Cabinet HRD administrator will be sent to you and will contain all the required documents for new employees.  Many of these are time sensitive and should be reviewed as soon as possible.  If you have questions regarding this information packet then check with your supervisor for guidance.  If the supervisor is unable to answer your questions you may be referred to the Cabinet HRD administrator. 

Note: Frankfort based employees will be required to go to the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet for orientation.  You will be notified of the date and time of the orientation.  The Cabinet is located on the 2nd floor of the Tower in downtown Frankfort.
