Case Management System

CMS is a web-based data management system which was jointly developed by the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Kentucky Office for the Blind and is the main information system for both agencies.  It has five broad purposes:

  1. To collect and verify required data elements for federal reporting.
  2. To assist counselors and field staff in managing caseload tasks.
  3. To produce authorization documents for the purchase of necessary consumer goods and services and properly allocate expenditures.
  4. To accurately track staff provided services.
  5. To produce flexible, accurate, real-time reports to assist in decision-making at all levels.

CMS development is an ongoing task and many enhancements are planned for the future.
